THE OLD ROAD FUND
Curtain Bluff’s philanthropic foundation
From the beginning, Howard and ChelleHulford wanted Curtain Bluff to be more than just an extraordinary resort. They wanted it to have a soul, to reflect their respect and love for the local community and give something back to their island home. One way they sought to do this is through The Old Road Fund.
Started in 1974, The Old Road Fund (ORF) is a 501c-3 (tax-deductible) non-profit foundation supported by Curtain Bluff and generous guests. One of the most successful private foundations in the Caribbean, it has spent over $3 million and improved the lives of thousands of Antiguan and Barbudan people through education, healthcare, and community projects. As its name suggests, ORF’s main focus is the town of Old Road, home to over 80% of the resort’s 220 staff.
