What the media is saying about Curtain Bluff

All of us at Curtain Bluff believe that we work at the best resort in the Caribbean…and the kind comments from our frequently returning guests only confirm that belief. But it’s also gratifying when we receive positive feedback from a well-traveled, brutally honest, completely unbiased third party: the media. Over the last year we have received blush-inducing praise from the leading publications, sites and blogs on both sides of the Atlantic.

We were thrilled when the top travel magazine in the U.S., T+L (Travel & Leisure), voted us #2 best resort in The Caribbean and #63 in the whole world in its 2016 “World’s Best” Reader’s Choice survey. And when Brides magazine listed us at #2 in its Destination Wedding special, calling attention to Curtain Bluff’s astonishing everything-included value. Then Caribbean Travel & Life listed us among its top all-inclusive resorts (“these days some of the best resorts on the planet are all-inclusive”) in its 2016 Resort Finder issue. Guess what celebrity fitness instructor Adam Rosante said when asked by the Chicago Tribune about his favorite hotel in the world? What hotel came in at #4 in Condé Nast Traveler newsletter’s recent roundup of the best resorts in the Caribbean? And About Travel recently wrote “you expect a lot from a property that was named # 1 Best Resort in Antiguan the 2015 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. The article went on to say “Curtain Bluff more than delivers on its promise of laid-back luxury and gracious service.”

“There‘s no better place to pop the question (and the Champagne) than at Curtain Bluff. Our publisher got engaged there last year!”

Our media friends on the other side of the Atlantic have been just as enthusiastic.  The British magazine Women’s Health was unstinting in its praise in a full-page article that opened with “This resort really is something else.” OK! Magazine covered one of Curtain Bluff’s wellness retreats in an article entitled “Fit for a Queen.” And Vantage magazine riffed on our name in “Calling Your Buff,” a three-page article that ends “As I check out, I feel a rush of sadness…There’s only one thing to do: book my flights for next year.”

Weddings magazine mentioned only one hotel in its article on the “classic glamour” of Antigua, describing Curtain Bluff as “tropical elegance with over-sized baths, wood-paneled ceilings, large floor-to-ceiling windows and verandas with a view across the sparkling water.” GQ magazine joined in with an online article calling Curtain Bluff the “ultimate Caribbean resort for dads.” Using the same superlative, National Geographic Traveler sent a writer to experience our “ultimate de-stressor treatment” at our spa and called our cuisine “fine dining at its best.” And Condé Nast Traveler listed only two resorts in its seven-page roundup on Antigua.

“Tried, tested and recommended”
